SAS needed to pivot in an evolving marketplace to maintain its relevance. The challenge which presented itself was how to authentically revitalise the brand without discarding its rich history and strong brand capital generated over years of being an industry leader. The solution was to re-engineer every aspect of the brand meticulously. Video and photo campaign focussed on young, vibrant and flirtatious imagery to promote the ubiquitous sense of adventure associated with SCUBA while also promoting notions of spontaneity and approachability for a younger audience throug. The end result was a campaign, and brand that aggressively pursued a new generation of consumer in the Japanese and wider asian region and won them over.
